Description
The Third World war almost destroyed mankind. Even The Governors believed we wouldn’t survive such a catastrophic event. But we pulled ourselves from annihilation to live in a world drastically changed from the one we knew before.
For a long time, we lived in harmony with the world and nature, but even our simple lives would become corrupted by the darkness in some people’s hearts. So, when it became clear we were walking a path towards another Great War, one which would ultimately destroy the Earth and everything on it, They sent the Guardians to help us.
With the appearance of creatures once written about in some old religious texts, the Guardians would be instantly recognisable should they be seen. These winged beasts, sent forth to protect us—or destroy us, depending on the whim of the Governors—were similar to the ancient stories of Angels.
Even though their origin differed from the angel fables of old, the Guardians were creatures of immense power, stature and beauty. Unknown to us, for hundreds of years since the Third World War, the Governors and the Guardians have been guiding us and keeping the peace on Earth to ensure our continued existence. For they believed that the Earth was considered a planet worth preserving, and humans, a race worth nurturing.
